What are the differences between the two profile types?
Ashera Pet offers two profile types for different purposes:
Daily Record
For recording and sharing your pet's daily life and growth moments. Perfect for users who want to document pet life and connect with other pet owners. These records appear on your personal profile.
Adoption Listing
Specifically for pet adoption. Once created, it automatically appears under the 'Find Pets' tab in the bottom navigation menu, making it visible to users looking to adopt. Suitable for finding new homes for pets.
What is the purpose of Daily Records?
Daily Records allow you to:
- Document your pet's growth journey and precious moments
- Share your pet's adorable daily life with other pet lovers
- Build a complete pet life archive
- Exchange pet care experiences with other owners
- Preserve beautiful memories through photos and text
Where will my adoption listing be visible?
When you create an 'Adoption Listing' profile, your pet's information will appear in:
- Adoption listings under the 'Find Pets' tab in the bottom navigation menu
Recommend uploading clear photos and filling in detailed information to increase visibility and adoption success.
How do I edit or delete a created profile?
Go to the 'My' page, find the pet profile you want to edit, tap to enter the details page, then tap the three-dot menu icon (⋯) in the top right corner and select 'Edit' to modify information. To delete, find the 'Delete Profile' option at the bottom of the edit page.
Can I create multiple profiles for the same pet?
Yes. You can add different types of profiles for the same pet. For example, you can have daily records to share life moments while also adding an adoption listing when needed. However, avoid adding duplicate profiles to prevent confusion.
What happens when I delete a pet profile?
Deleting a pet profile will have the following irreversible consequences:
- All basic information and photos of the pet will be permanently deleted
- All posts related to this pet (daily records, adoption listings, etc.) will be deleted together
- All published content cannot be recovered or restored
- Comments and interactions from other users on these posts will also be lost
Deletion cannot be undone! We recommend carefully considering before deletion and confirming you no longer need to keep this data. If you only want to temporarily hide content, consider marking the adoption listing as adopted or removing it instead of deleting the entire profile.
How do I adopt through Ashera Pet?
The adoption process:
- Browse pets available for adoption under the 'Find Pets' tab in the bottom navigation menu
- Tap on pets you're interested in to view detailed profiles
- Contact the rehomer through the platform to express adoption interest
- Arrange a meeting time with the rehomer to interact with the pet
- After both parties reach consensus, sign an adoption contract
- Complete adoption and register the pet
Note:Before adopting, carefully evaluate your care capabilities and environment to ensure you can provide the pet with a forever home.
Why am I not receiving the SMS verification code?
If you haven't received the SMS verification code, please check the following common causes in order:
- The phone number was entered incorrectly — please double-check the number
- An app that blocks ads/marketing SMS is installed, or your phone's firmware-level SMS blocking is enabled. Check whether a specific number is set to be blocked and remove it, so normal business SMS can come through
- Move the original SIM card to another phone and test receiving SMS there. This is the fastest way to confirm whether the issue is with the original handset (you can also borrow a phone at a carrier store to test)
- The message may have been filed into the spam/junk folder — please check it. See the document below for troubleshooting steps
- You were in an area with poor signal when the SMS was sent — move to a location with good reception, restart your phone to re-establish the connection with the cell tower, and it should arrive
- Your phone is in Airplane Mode or Do Not Disturb mode — turn it off and try again
- Your carrier has enabled a 'Block Business SMS' feature — please contact your carrier to check and disable this setting
Common call/SMS blocking apps — if installed, check that the number hasn't been added to a blacklist by mistake:
- Whoscall
- SMS Blocker
- Blacklist
- App-Island
- FREEdi
- Lianyun Firewall App
- GBlocker
- Handcent SMS
- Taiwan Mobile Call Manager (2.0+)
- Dr.Web
How do I protect my account security?
Recommend taking the following measures to protect account security:
- Set a strong password with letters, numbers, and symbols
- Don't share your account password with others
- Regularly update your password
- Contact customer service immediately if unusual activity is detected
What role does Ashera Pet play in the adoption process?
Ashera Pet is a matching platform that provides the following services:
- Provide a platform for rehomers to post adoption listings
- Help potential adopters find suitable pets
- Provide adoption contract templates for both parties' reference
Note:Important: Ashera Pet is not the rehoming party. All adoption conditions, processes, and follow-ups are coordinated and agreed upon between the rehomer and adopter. The platform does not intervene in or take responsibility for the agreement or its execution.
How do I manage a published adoption listing?
Go to the pet profile details page to perform the following actions:
Pause / Resume Listing
To temporarily hide the listing, tap 'Pause Listing'. Tap 'Resume Listing' anytime to make it visible again. You can switch between the two at any time
Mark as Adopted
Once your pet has found a new home, tap 'Mark as Adopted' to update the status. This action cannot be undone, so please confirm before proceeding
What should I know after my adoption listing goes live?
Once your adoption listing is published, please note the following four points:
Official Promotion Support
We may occasionally select adoption listings to promote across various platforms. If your pet is selected, you will be notified via App message
Keep Your Listing Up to Date
If your pet has been rehomed, please remove the listing to free up space for other pets (see Q12: How to Manage Your Adoption Listing). If another user reports that you haven't replied for a long time, the platform will look into it
Stay Active or Your Listing May Be Hidden
If your account is inactive for 3 days, the platform will send you a reminder. After more than 5 days, your listing may be temporarily hidden; log back in to restore it. Listings verified to violate platform rules may also be removed by our team
Listings Hidden Over 90 Days May Be Permanently Deleted
If a listing stays hidden for more than 90 days, the listing and its related adoption posts and photos may be permanently deleted, and this cannot be undone. The same applies to listings removed by our team. This only affects adoption listings: your pet's everyday profile, health records and general posts are not affected
Please update your listing status once your pet has been successfully rehomed, so platform resources can help more pets in need.
What can I track in my pet's daily health records?
In the 'Health Records' section of your pet's profile, you can fully record and track your pet's health:
- Weight: Log each measurement and automatically generate a weight trend chart
- Vaccines: Record administered vaccines and dates, with reminders for the next due date
- Medications: Track current medications and treatment courses, with support for multiple daily dose times
- Vet Visits: Save each visit's details and upload photos or PDF receipts / lab reports
- Health Dashboard: A single overview of your pet's weight, vaccines, medications, and follow-up visits
Keeping ongoing health records makes it easy to provide a full medical history at the vet and helps you spot changes in your pet's condition early.
How do I set up health and to-do reminders?
You can set reminders for vaccines, medications, follow-up visits, and more—the App sends a push notification when it's due:
- Vaccine / Visit reminders: Choose to be reminded 0, 1, 3, or 7 days in advance, at a time you specify
- Medication reminders: Support multiple dose times per day (e.g. 08:00, 14:00, 20:00)
- Snooze a to-do: For reminders you can't handle yet, tap 'Snooze' and the system postpones it by one day
- Reminder pushes belong to the 'Health Reminder' notification category—if you're not receiving them, check that category and your Do Not Disturb settings
Note:Reminders trigger based on your device's time zone, so the timing adjusts automatically when you travel or change zones.
How do I contact a lister about a pet I like?
On the pet's profile details page, tap the contact button to chat directly with the lister through the in-app messenger—express your interest in adopting, arrange a meeting, or ask about the pet. All communication stays within the App, with no need to exchange personal contact details.
For your safety and the pet's, we recommend keeping all contact and initial communication within the in-app chat, and retaining your conversation history.
How do I manage notifications? Why am I not receiving some?
In 'Notification Settings' you can toggle push notifications by category to control what you receive:
- Health Reminders: Vaccine, medication, and follow-up visit reminders
- Chat: New messages in the in-app messenger
- Social: Interactions, follows, and other community notifications
- Marketing: Promotions, events, and offers
Note:Account security notifications are always delivered for your protection and cannot be turned off. You can also set 'Do Not Disturb' hours, during which 'Health Reminder' and 'Marketing' notifications won't disturb you (chat and security notifications are unaffected).
How do I delete my account?
If you decide to stop using Ashera Pet, you can delete your account in the account settings. For account security, deletion requires SMS verification:
- Go to Account Settings and select 'Delete Account'
- Tap to request a code; the system sends an SMS verification code to your registered phone number
- Enter the code you received and confirm to complete the deletion
After deleting your account, your adoption listings and related data will be deactivated. This action cannot be undone, so please consider carefully before proceeding.
Can I switch between dark and light mode?
Yes. 'System Settings' offers three theme modes: 'Follow System' switches automatically based on your phone's appearance setting, or you can manually lock it to 'Light' or 'Dark'. The App defaults to dark mode.
Note:Light mode is still being rolled out across pages, so some screens may not fully support it yet. Thank you for your patience.
